AFRICAN GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYER FOR ISRAEL

OBJECTIVES/MISSION/PURPOSE:

  • Using Media and Physical on- ground participation of Believers all over the world, spearheaded by Africans to pray for Israel.
  • To sensitize Believers, Jews, and people generally on the timeliness and need to pray.
  • To awaken more Believers to fulfill the Biblical mandate to pray for Israel.
  • Creating unity, support, and seriousness, recognizing the place of Israel in God’s End-time plan

WHY PRAY FOR ISRAEL

It is a Biblical Mandate
Ps 122:6; Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces; and Isaiah 62:6-7I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence, And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

Praying for Israel attracts God’s blessing to the people or nations that obey this commandment.
Israel has constantly and is currently facing internal and external challenges and in view of its place in God’s program, there is a need to pray for her

Why we used November 29th

What this war is really about

Bestow upon us, O Lord, our God, the blessing of your appointed Festivals for Life and for Peace, for gladness and for joy, as You desire and promised to bless us.” – Jewish Festival liturgy

It was 8:45 a.m. and I was leading the worship in our synagogue in Bet Shemesh. Earlier in the service, an announcement was made that Israel was under attack and that air raid sirens were being sounded due to missiles being fired from Gaza all over the country and that we should be ready.

NOVEMBER 29TH, 2023

This significant date was chosen because of its importance and historic significance to present-day Israel. It is the anniversary of the vote of the UN General Assembly on a resolution to partition the land of Israel on November 29, 1947, leading to the Declaration of the State of Israel on May 14, 1948
